What About Battery Life?

You can scan your Golf Pad TAGS with your phone in your pocket or whenever the screen is on. In pocket mode, the screen brightness automatically dims to help significantly extend battery life.

If you prefer to keep your phone out of your pocket and scan TAGS from the scorecard screen, we strongly recommend enabling Screen protection. This setting dims the display after a period of inactivity, helping prevent screen burn-in and conserving battery power.

iPhone

Similarly, if you place your iPhone in your pocket, the app will automatically dim the screen to help preserve battery life.

Most golfers can complete a full 18-hole round with battery to spare. However, actual performance varies depending on your phone's model, age, and the power usage of other apps. We recommend fully charging your phone before starting a round. If you notice your battery running low during longer rounds, consider disabling background sync (name may vary by device), using power-saving mode, or carrying a portable charger. Even a quick charge between holes can make a huge difference.
