Strokes Gained

Thanks, Jason, we've located your earlier submission (with your spreadsheet and screenshots), and it's now with our engineering team to look into. We'll follow up with you by email as soon as we have an update.

I've already submitted this information with your team about 2 weeks ago. The only answer I received was that the downloaded data is only strokes gained map to a professional, no matter what you've selected as your benchmark in the app. Even then there was some inconsistencies. If I benchmark it to professional in the app and the actual numbers in the downloaded data. Data. I've sent copies of my spreadsheets as well as screenshots via email.

So we can properly investigate your specific case, could you email us at support@golfpadgps.com with the details, ideally a specific round and the two Strokes Gained figures you're seeing (and where each appears, e.g. round summary vs stats vs download)? That lets us open a ticket, trace that exact round, and get our engineers on it.

One quick thing to check in the meantime: Strokes Gained is calculated against a chosen baseline (PGA Tour, scratch, or a handicap level), so if the two views are set to different baselines the numbers will differ by design, worth confirming they match.

Any updates?  It's one year later and I'm still seeing inconsistencies in the data between the app and the downloads.

You're right to notice the difference between the strokes gained values in the round summary and the stats section. We're currently working on improvements to the stats system to make sure everything stays consistent and accurately reflects your performance across views.

In the meantime, you can rely on the round summary for the most accurate strokes gained data. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions or feedback!
