Make Golf Pad Auto-Display When You Raise Your Hand

Modified on Mon, 2 Feb at 12:25 PM

To help keep the Golf Pad GPS app active and visible on your Wear OS watch during a round of golf, follow the steps below. This will make the app resume automatically when you raise your wrist to look at your watch.

For Wear OS 3 and Later (e.g., Samsung Galaxy Watches)

- Open your Watch Settings app

- Tap Display

- select "Show last app";

- select "Within 1 hour".

Note: On some newer watches (starting with Galaxy Watch 7), the "Within 1 hour" option has been removed. In this case, you may need to rely on notification settings (see below) to help the app stay active.

Check Notifications & Permissions

If your watch doesn't keep Golf Pad active:

- Go to Watch Settings > Applications > App list > Golf Pad

- Tap Permissions > Notifications > Allow

- Make sure notifications are enabled

Allowing notifications can help Wear OS keep the app running longer in the background.
