Golf Pad does not stay open on my watch Wear version 4.0

We've received reports from Wear users who's watches were upgraded to Wear 4.0. These users state that the Golf Pad app does not stay open on the watch. An update to the app will be released soon and there is a temporary work-around by granting ‘Show notifications’ permission. 

To do so:

Open settings on the watch

Choose Apps

Choose App List

Tap on Golf Pad

Choose Permissions

Choose Notifications and turn it on

Once the update is released, the app will instead prompt users to accept the required permission and user will simply need to approve the request rather than going through the watch settings.
